Rick Reynolds created this educational poster in collaboration with partners including the Mid-Columbia Fisheries Enhancement Group, Washington Department of Ecology, Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife, and illustrator Fran Lee. The goal is to help engage the public and students in why it is necessary to take action to cool our rivers for the health of salmon, trout, freshwater ecosystems generally, and people. There is also a Spanish version that we created with the skilled science translation specialist Marina LaGrave of Colorado Language Access & Cultural Experts (CLACE).
